Girls’ Golf played against the Rio Pacific Teams, San Marino, La Cañada, Temple City, and Arcadia at the Santa Anita Golf Course and managed to finish 4th out of the 5 teams with a final score of 211 strokes on Thursday, October 15.

The best scoring Tigers this game were sophomores Bella Vanichsombat and Delaney Wong, both finishing the game in 39 strokes, as well as senior Gaby Ho, who finished in 41 strokes. The team overall finished only 6 shots away from second place, and played well, earning one of their best total scores of the season.

“It was a pretty hot day, and the course had a lot of hills, which made it more physically demanding to get around and find good positions for our next shots. Despite that, several of us managed to stay consistent throughout the round,” Ho said. “I think there were some really good moments across the team, and overall, we did a solid job handling the conditions.”

The Tigers hope to earn a spot for the league’s upcoming playoffs in two weeks. They are currently ranked at 41st place out of 283 teams competing for the playoffs.
