The boys and girls’ swim team finished the season off strong, placing in several events during the CIF Division 2 finals on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 at the Riverside Aquatics Complex.

South Pas finished 23rd out of 46 in Division 2 with a total of 44 points. A team comprised of sophomore Jaden Mullin, junior Evan Yerian, and seniors Alexandre Sannibale and Jacob Mullin placed 20th in both the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay.

MVP Jacob Mullin placed first in the 100 Backstroke and 100 Butterfly after placing second in both events at last year’s finals. Mullin’s final times for each event were 48.47 and 47.79 seconds, respectively. Mullin will go on to compete at CIF state finals on May 19 and May 20 at the Clovis Olympic Swim Complex.

“Without my teammates, my senior year would not have been as fun, successful, or memorable as it has been,” senior Mullin said.

Although the team will lose a few star swimmers, the program looks forward to improving for next season.
