Senior Saidbh Byrne came in fifth place with a time of 18:35. Seniors Sofia Humphrey, Maya Lee and Amelie Geoffron rounded out the top five Tigers. South Pasadena girls’ varsity ultimately won the race, beating out Cathedral Catholic by just one point.
“Our biggest rival, which is Cathedral Catholic…we actually beat them overall, which is super, super exciting. I’m really proud of our team, because I saw a lot of people race really, really well,” Humphrey said.
The Tigers are looking forward to the Rio Hondo League Finals at Lacy Park on Thursday, Nov. 7 and will likely come back to Mt. SAC on Nov. 15 for CIF Preliminaries.
