The boys’ varsity golf team came away victorious by a score of 234-270 at the Almansor Golf Course against Azusa High School on Thursday, March 3. This evens out the boys’ overall record at 1-1 in the first week of season play.

Freshman Josh Ramos led the Tiger pack with an impressive total score of 35 strokes. Juniors Elliott Lee and Andrew Son finished the course with a 49 each. Junior Matthew Wright and sophomore Joaquin Fromm followed with 50 and 60, respectively.

“Today’s victory, although a win, only revealed more things we needed to work on as golf players. Since, it’s only preseason, we still have time to work on the things that our team lacks in order to get ourselves in a better position to compete in league this year,” Son said.

The Tigers will face off against La Salle High School at the Almansor Golf Course on Tuesday, March 8.
