Boys golf defeated Monrovia High School in a match on Tuesday, April 27 at Eaton Canyon Golf Course. The team completed the course with a steep margin of 235-205.
Sophomore Ian Jin led with an impressive score of 34. Juniors Ark Chang and Andrew Kowal followed not too far behind with scores 39 and 42, respectively. Finally, seniors Justin Toshima and Luke Martinez finished the match with the same score of 45.
“We just stayed calm and played it like it was any other match. It wasn’t our home course so we had to adapt quickly and we all did pretty well doing that…” said Chang. “…we still put in all our effort to win.”
The team is determined to further improve their current record by defeating La Cañada High School at the Santa Anita Golf Course on Tuesday, May 4.
