Girls golf annihilated Alhambra High School at their match on Thursday, April 29 at Eaton Canyon Golf Course. They won by a powerful margin of 330-237, bumping them to a 3-0 record.
Junior Lauren Calderon led with a score of 37, which also happens to be the second time this season that Calderon has ended a match with the lowest score out of all of the participants. Senior Katherine Anthony and junior Maya Turun both followed with a score of 48, and juniors Cassy Huang and Audrey Biggar completed the match with a score of 52.
“So far our team has been pretty consistent with scoring so I’m looking forward to our next couple of games. I think if we keep up this momentum we could place 2nd in the league,” Turun said.
The team is set to once again improve their record and continue their winning streak in their match against La Canada High School on Thursday, May 6 at Brookside Golf Course.
