Assemblymember Chris Holden announced that the 2022 Young Legislators Program will be accepting applications for next year on Friday, Oct. 15. Now in its seventh year, the program strives to provide high school students with opportunities to familiarize themselves with public policy and the legislative process.
During the four month program, students will meet virtually once a month to become better advocates on societal issues, gain valuable leadership skills, and learn to become the “leaders of tomorrow.”
Applicants must be high school seniors with at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA, must live or attend school in the 41st Assembly District and commit to four monthly, two hour Saturday meetings that will begin in February 2022. The program is free of cost.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 3.
