Abajian and Martinez-Miller win School Board election

South Pasadena voters elected incumbent Dr. Suzie Abajian and previous School Board member Patricia Martinez-Miller to serve on the School Board. Abajian and Martinez-Miller ran against two other candidates, SPUSD parents Erik Gammel and Alan Reynolds to fill two open spots.

Abajian received 39.37 percent or 6,450 votes and Martinez-Miller followed with 35.08 percent of 5,746 votes. Gammel and Reynolds trailed with 2638 and 1547 votes respectively. That totals 16,381 voters in South Pasadena out of 17,801 registered to vote as of Friday, Oct. 30.
