In the game the Tigers’ entire season had been building toward, South Pasadena came up from behind to take hold of the prized State Championship title.
South Pasadena will play in the State Championship Southern Section Final on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The Tigers took the win against High Tech Mesa, easily winning in three sets. They move on to the Regional Semi Final.
The Tigers fought hard in the playoff game, resulting in a win against the Sultans. The win guaranteed South Pasadena a spot in the Semi Final.
Volleyball slid past the Lancers in four sets, extending their playoff run.
Two hours of play earned South Pasadena a comfortable 3-1 win.
Although the Tigers brought spirit to senior night, they ultimately lost to the Spartans in four sets.

Girls’ volleyball played skillfully and wiped out Blair in a brief 40-minute 3-0 match.
South Pasadena’s coordination choked in the third set; however, the Tigers were far enough ahead to take the match regardless.
Although the Tigers played with spirit, they were ultimately swept by Crescenta Valley.
The Tigers played fiercely, losing the first two sets but making a comeback to win the next two. They eventually fell to Flintridge in the fifth set.
After four close sets, the Tigers faltered in the fifth, which allowed Burroughs to take the match.
The game spanned for almost 2.5 hours. The fifth set went into a deuce, but the Tigers edged ahead to win their final home league matchup of the season.
The Tigers move on to round three against Mark Keppel High School.
