South Pas police investigate body found in Arroyo Park

The South Pasadena Police Department (SPPD) is currently investigating the death of an unidentified adult male whose body was discovered in Arroyo Park Friday morning, Nov. 30.

According to a SPPD press release, the body was found in the 800 block of Stoney Drive and is currently being investigated as a natural death case. Investigators from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner will assist SPPD officers in the investigation.

 

UPDATE: 

Authorities have identified the body as a homeless man who is believed to have died of natural causes several weeks ago. The body was found in an encampment aside from public roads and walkways, concealed from public view by dense vegetation. Investigators say identification of the individual may take as long as a few weeks.
