Senior track runner Patrick Latting announced his commitment to Emory University to run track via Instagram on Thursday, March 18.
Latting began his running career in elementary school and has since gained experience competing with cross country and track and field teams at SPHS. Latting specializes in the 800m with a personal record of 2:02.
“I chose Emory because my priorities align with the school’s core values and [the school is] in a great location for me,” Latting said.
Before attending Emory in the fall, Latting looks to lead SPHS’ long distance runners on the track and field team through one last season.
