Ohio State, initially ranked 6, knocked out the then-undefeated Oregon 41-21 to advance to the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal.
Zoe Chen | The United States Marine Corps West Coast Composite Band was the first of 24 bands featured in the parade, and one of few non-student bands.

Zoe Chen | The Trader Joe's three-piece, 85-foot float won "most outstanding display of showmanship and entertainment." The float's decoration included goods sold on the store's shelves, such as blueberries, split peas, and parsley.

Zoe Chen | The UPS Store Inc. won the Judges Award for "most outstanding float design and dramatic impact." Volcanoes on the float spewed steam for all 5.5 miles of the parade route.
Zoe Chen | Visit Mississippi's float emphasized the state as the birthplace of American music. 2025 is the first year that Visit Mississippi, the state's official destination marketing organization, participated in the Rose Parade.

Zoe Chen | High school students who attend any Los Angeles Unified School District school are eligible to audition into the All-District Honor Marching Band. The band forms annually for the sole purpose of marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade.
