The girls’ golf team earned their fourth victory in the Rio Hondo League on Tuesday, October 2, as the Alhambra Moors forfeited the match due to an insufficient amount of players available.

The Tigers utilized this opportunity to practice on the Almansor Golf Course, where they will play three more league games. Freshman Lauren Calderon excelled in the training match, shooting for 37 strokes. Junior captains Lindsey Biggar and Victoria Tskvitichvili completed the course with scores of 48 and 40, respectively. Sophomore Katherine Anthony had a stroke score of 45 and freshman Maya Turun shot for 43 strokes. Freshman Cassy Huang rounded out the day’s squad with 52 strokes.

“Since we have a big match this Thursday against San Marino, I think it was [good to be] getting more prepared and having a good practice,” Calderon said. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to play super well against San Marino.”

In their first clash, the Titans dominated the Tigers, defeating South Pasadena 192-213. The girls’ golf team will face San Marino on Thursday, October 4 for the second time this season.
