The girls golf team fell eight strokes short against San Marino on Tuesday, Oct. 15, losing 209-217. The Tigers now hold a 5-4 overall league record.

Senior Victoria Tskvitichvili and sophomore Maya Turun both had stellar performances shooting for 40 strokes, but it was not enough to close the gap.

Sophomore Lauren Calderon followed closely earning a score of 42. Junior Katherine Anthony and sophomore Cassy Huang had respective scores of 47 and 48, while sophomore Audrey Biggar ended the game with 52 strokes.

“I think we had a lot of successful and rough rounds, but overall we have been pushing strong as a team,” Tskvitichvili said. “I think I have had my ups and downs during this season but every game teaches me something new about golf.”

The Tigers will play their final match in the Rio Hondo League before CIF against the Temple City Rams on Thursday, Oct. 17.
