Girls’ golf defeats Webb in tenth victory

The varsity girls’ golf team advanced their streak to 10-0 with yet another 205-283 victory over Webb High School this Monday, October 3. The girls were home at Almansor Golf Course, marking their sixth win at their home course.

Senior co-captain Caitlyn Yamashida lead the Tigers with a 35. Freshman Victoria Tsyviti and senior co-captain Emily Swanson followed suit with 39 and 41, respectively. Senior Clara Wong shot a 44 while junior Nicole Srisutham shot a 46, and freshman Lindsay Biggar was close behind with a 47.

“We had another solid performance from all the girls today. We are ready for our match against Alhambra tomorrow,” Yamashita said.

The Tigers’ next game is Tuesday, October 4 against Alhambra High School. The girls beat the Alhambra Moors 217-299 earlier in the season. With only three more matches until league prelims, the girls are looking to continue their winning streak and continue to dominate in postseason play.
