The varsity girls’ golf team dropped the Webb High School with a 212-261 victory for its last league game of the season on Thursday, October 15. The Tigers at home suffered just one loss to Gabrielino and won all of its away games. The girls finished the 2015-2016 season with a final record of 9-1 overall and 7-1 in league.

In Thursday’s game, co-captain junior Caitlyn Yamashita stepped up again, leading her team with the lowest score of 38. Sophomore surprise Bethany Chen finished the course with a score of 39. Juniors Emily Swanson and Clara Wong both contributed with scores of 42 and 46, respectively. While sophomore Nicole Srisutham capped it off with a score of 47.

The Tiger’s first League Preliminary is slated to be on Tuesday, October 20 at Marshall Canyon.

“First, we needed to finish strong and win the rest of our matches and that is what we did. Then we all have to perform well in the league finals,” Yamashita said. “ If all goes as planned, we should be representing the Montview League at CIF.”
