After numerous successful years coaching high school golf for SPHS, girls golf coach Richard Goto decided to retire before the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
“In general he was always very calm and literally a man of very few words, but when he did say some they were usually motivational, helpful, and always positive,” said junior golfer Lauren Calderon.
The school has yet to announce if they are hiring additional personnel to take over the position in light of the suspension of the athletics season. Girls golf is so far planning on resuming as a spring sport.
