Boys’ tennis improved its preseason record to 3-1 with a 17-1 victory over Schurr High School on Friday, Mar. 1.
Junior Desmond Chan, singles one, destroyed the opposition, winning each set 6-0. Singles two and three, junior Ben Pestana and senior James Dekle, also swept their three matches. Pestana won 6-0, 6-2, and 6-0, while Dekle was victorious 6-0, 6-2, and 6-3.
Doubles one, juniors Sigmund Goodstein and Evan Strittmatter, and doubles two, senior Eamon Hornish and junior David Newhall, both easily won all of their matches.
The Tigers will look to finish their preseason with a win against Polytechnic on Friday, Mar. 8.
