The boys’ varsity golf team fell in its third preseason game to La Salle High School by a score of 221-191 at the Almanzar Golf Course on Tuesday, March 8. Tuesday’s loss brings South Pasadena’s overall record to 1-2.

Freshman Josh Ramos led by example with a 34 stroke in this game against La Salle. Juniors Andrew Son and Matthew Wright followed up with scores of 39 and 46. Sophomore Damien Ugalde and junior Elliot Lee finished the course with scores of 50 and 53.

“Today was the best match we’ve had so far. Although it was a loss we learned a lot of our mistakes from our last match,” Son said. “A lot of us were really able to perform today while others had a difficulty keeping up.”

The Tigers will look to improve its record in a game against Azusa High School on Thursday, March 10 at the Almanzar Golf Course.
