Boys basketball extended its winning streak to five games with a 67-40 victory over Duarte on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Throughout the first quarter, South Pas dominated the scoreboard. A relentless full-court press suffocated the Falcons and put the Tigers in a lead that they would maintain for the remainder of the game.

During the second quarter, the team relaxed and eased off the gas pedal. Senior Billy Reed III closed the half with two back-to-back dunks.

At the start of the third quarter, the South Pas leads began to rise again as junior Amar Ebrahim and senior Rodney Ortega’s sharpshooting skills led the way.

Reed III stuffed the stat sheet, pouring in 18 points, seven boards, six steals, and four assists, while Ebrahim and sophomore Mikey Ebner each chipped in 13 points.

South Pas will face Artesia in the Grizzly Classic on Monday, Dec. 9, in hopes of maintaining its undefeated record.
