The Tigers were not able to score a win against their very first opponent.

Girls’ flag football team kicked their first season off with an away game against the Burroughs High School Bears on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The game resulted in a loss for the Tigers, with a final score of 31–6.
Throughout the game, the Tigers earned several points with a pick-six, or an interception returned for a touchdown, from senior receiver and cornerback Ella Go. This play was considered “a definite highlight” according to Coach Richard-Craven, and a standout performance from freshman punter Amelia Erceg. In the end, however, they were not able to triumph over the Burroughs Bears.
“We’re working on personnel, plays, and defense,” Richard-Craven said.
Despite the Tigers’ rough start, the team recuperated for a better game against the Temple City Rams at home on Monday, Sep. 14, at 6 p.m.
