The boys baseball team faced another loss to school rival La Cañada after a frustrating 6-3 final score.

With the Tigers only win in league against La Cañada back in March, the boys were confident today would be no different.

Although neither team connected home in the first two innings, it wasn’t until the third when the Spartans pushed ahead and racked up a decisive three run lead after several balls found holes in the Tiger defense.

Senior Paul Amerine kept the hope alive for the Tigers after hitting home junior Brandon Louie for the first run of the game. La Cañada responded back on offense and scored three more runs to take a five run lead.

Down 6-1, junior Connor Dolan hit a double down the third base line to send home senior Nic Ha, giving hope to the Tigers. Dolan would also return home himself with the assistance of teammate Matthew Park. However, this would be the last run of the day as La Cañada fortified its defense to hold the Tigers to a 6-3 loss.

The Tigers hope to return a victory over the Spartan at home on Friday, April 30.
