Boys’ and girls’ swim team opened up its season at the Mt. San Antonio College invitational on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12. They faced off against schools across all areas of Southern California.

The first day was difficult for the Tigers as weather conditions added an extra obstacle to the tournament. Junior Jacob Mullin managed to overcome the unfavorable conditions and advance in both the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke.

The Tigers improved its times in the second day of the tournament. Mullin continued his success and broke a school record in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.59 seconds. Additionally, a South Pas relay team was able to reach the CIF qualifying time in the 200 medley relay.

The team’s next swim meet is on Thursday, March 17 against the Monrovia Wildcats at home.
