Soccer players, parents, and school officials met Monday, November 17, to discuss the high school’s plan to move the boys and girls team off of the stadium field due to track renovations.
The parents and players did not succeed in overturning the district’s decision to perform the work from December to February, but it did win some concessions. The district, which had appeared to focus on the Arroyo Fields as a replacement game site, will expand its search to locations such as Occidental College and Arcadia City Hall Field.
The administration is also considering turning over the softball and baseball fields to the soccer teams for practice until the work is complete. Principal Janet Anderson promised to provide updates as plans become clearer.
