Girls’ volleyball lost to the San Marino Titans in four sets in a road game on Tuesday, September 25. The Tigers played hard, but lost in the final three sets, dropping their league record to 3-2.

The Tigers started off the game strong, winning the first set 25-17 with assistance from freshman Abby Garner’s powerful kills. However, the Titans came back from their loss and narrowly won the last three sets, 25-19, 25-22, and 25-17. Although the Tigers may have lost the game, they played hard against their rival. Sophomore Lexi Schroeder and Lindsey Hirano each had an impressive amount of saves, scoring several crucial points for South Pas. In addition, sophomore Ella Holdly-Brill provided SPHS with important aces.

Although the Tigers didn’t beat the Titans, they will be playing San Marino again at home on Wednesday, October 10. This game is another opportunity for South Pas to prevail against the rival squad.

After an earlier loss against Monrovia this season, the team will have a chance at redemption when they play the Wildcats at the SPHS gym on Thursday, September 27 at 3:30.
