Girls’ tennis snatched a decisive 13-5 road victory against Glendale on Tuesday, August 28. With the win, the team improves their record to 2-1.

Senior Shannon Huang and sophomore Carissa Park established early dominance in their singles sets, both sweeping all three of their matches. With their combined efforts and that of senior Rachel Park, the Tigers won singles 7-2.

Doubles started off in similar fashion, with the duo of junior Teryn Kume and sophomore Skylar Cornforth winning all three of their matches 6-4. Teammates sophomore Tallula Chow and senior Sheila Li recovered from a rocky start to win their last match 6-4, and not much ground was given up to their opponents afterwards. Three wins were surrendered to Glendale, but South Pasadena still managed to take doubles 6-3.

The Tigers are scheduled to play against John Burroughs High School in Burbank on Thursday, August 30, at 3:30 pm.
