The girls’ varsity golf team came out victorious against the Pasadena Polytechnic Panthers 209-229 this Thursday, September 1. The girls were the home team, playing at Almansor Golf course.

Co-captain Caitlyn Yamashita led the team, scoring an impressive 36 with Victoria Tsyviti right behind her with a score of 39. Overall, the Tigers had a stroke total of 209, which was a 22 strokes lower than their previous match.

This has been consistent with the Tigers’ momentum so far this season. They dominated their first match against Webb High School with a total score of 231-335, which leaves them with a total record of 2-0 in the Montview league. The girls are headed into the remainder of the season with determination and confidence.

“We played really well today. Everyone definitely pulled their weight out there on the course. I am excited to see what this season will bring.” Yamashita said.

Tuesday, September 6 is the girls’ next opportunity for victory against La Cañada at Almansor Golf course.
