English teacher Mark Afram will be returning to South Pasadena High School to fill Ms Kimberley Kadletz’s previous teaching position, according to principal Janet Anderson.
Anderson confirmed the move on Thursday, May 14, but noted that talks were ongoing for some time.
“I’m pleased to report that we have a candidate that is now signed and sealed,” Anderson said. “I wanted to tell [everyone] sooner, but Mark needed to sign with us and alert La Canada before I could sound the happy sirens.”
Anderson stated that SPHS was searching for a suitable candidate for Kadletz, who is currently the South Pasadena Unified School District’s Coordinator of Testing & Categorical Programs at the district office. Kadletz previously taught 10th grade Honors World Literature and online AP English Language, but it is unknown whether Afram will be fulfilling these exact responsibilities.
Afram taught at Los Gatos High School and La Cañada High School following his departure from SPHS in 2013.
