The California Interscholastic Federation officially cancelled 2020-2021 fall sports championships and playoffs due to the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
Although the fall sports season will continue throughout the spring semester, sectional and state competitions will not take place this year for cross country, football, girls volleyball and waterpolo.
Cross country and football will end on Mar. 27 and April 17, respectively, while girls volleyball and water polo will end on Mar. 20. All athletics at SPHS are expected to return on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
