The baseball team won both its games in the Elks Tournament on Thursday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and 29. The Tigers are now at an overall record of 3-2.

South Pas achieved a comfortable 7-3 victory over Mountain View. The game remained close in the first three innings, but the Tigers sped ahead, scoring six unanswered runs to claim victory.

The team played a tighter game against Marshall, earning a close 3-2 win in 12 innings. The Eagles led for almost the entire game, but the Tigers scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to knot the game.

The game headed into extra innings, dragging on to the 12th when junior Mike Lee hit a walk-off bunt to win the game.

“We played well in the tournament and it really prepared us for league next week,” sophomore Michael Ebner said.

The team will open its league season at San Marino on Friday, Mar. 6.
