Badminton dominates the Aztecs as doubles teams shine

Badminton overwhelmed the Mark Keppel Aztecs for the second time this season in a 16-5 home victory on Wednesday, Apr. 10. The Tigers’ league record now rises to 6-1.

As in previous games, senior Steven Wu, juniors Jamilah Hah, Emily Choi, Charles Liu, Joan Choi, and sophomore Jonathan Ng proved to be powerful mixed doubles teams, reigning victorious in all five of their matches. Emily and Joan Choi also breezed through their singles matches, garnering another four points for the South Pas. In boys singles, Liu, Ng, and sophomore Matthew Tan contributed three more wins.

Girls doubles teams junior Erin Wang and sophomore Katherine Li, and freshman Sally Kim and junior Connie Hsu tallied two more points for the team. Wu and sophomore Andrew Cheung tossed another two points to the overall score with their doubles win.

The Tigers will face off against San Marino for the second time this season on Friday, Apr. 12.
