Girls’ golf finished in last place at the Santa Anita Golf Course with a score of 214 strokes on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Tigers played against San Marino, La Cañada, Temple City, and Arcadia.
Sophomore Bella Vanichsombat and Junior Riley Zee had the highest Tiger scores, with 38 and 41 strokes respectively. Also, while junior Abigail Cruz made solid strikes for her irons and finished the game with a score of 46 strokes, she struggled to make consistent putts.
“As a team, it just wasn’t our day,” junior Cruz said. “One of our players wasn’t able to play optimally due to an injury. Nonetheless, we’re still proud of her for continuing to show up and push through.”
The Tigers’ next game was away against the La Salle Lancers on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Eaton Canyon Golf Course.
