The Tigers had a rough day at Alhambra Golf Course.

Girls’ Golf finished last in their first league game on Thursday, Sept. 17. SPHS competed against the La Cañada Aztecs, Temple City Rams, Arcadia Apaches, and San Marino Titans with an overall score of 209. 

Sophomores Bella Vanichsombat and Delaney Wong were the best-scoring players with a stroke count of 38. Following up, junior Abigail Cruz shot a 45 after struggling to get greens in regulation. 

“For myself, I want to work on the mental part of the game,” Cruz said. “Trusting the practice I put in and translating it as confidence out on the course will definitely help in all aspects.”

The Tigers played next on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Santa Anita Golf Course against the same four teams.
