Track renovations were completed on Monday, January 16th after unexpected rain prevented paint striping the previous week.
The two-year-old track underwent renovations as part of its warranty, according to Athletic Director Gregorio Luna. The project included a new UV protection coating to prevent surface damage and a restriping of the surface as well. UV protection was finished on January 9th, a week after the start of renovations.
“These renovations are all part of preventative maintenance,” Luna said. “The track was put in during the winter of 2014, and it’s very good that the district maintains its facilities for our athletic teams.”
