SPUSD schools were selected as 2017-2018 California Honor Roll Schools by the Educational Results Partnership and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence.
Marengo, Monterey Hills, South Pasadena Middle School and South Pasadena High School were selected among 1,798 other California public schools for high performance. SPUSD schools, excluding Arroyo Vista, were placed in the “Scholar” category meaning the school is “high performing without significant levels of low-income students. Achievement gap closing [in] schools.”
SPHS Principal Janet Anderson expresses her pride in students for receiving this accolade.
“While we do not want to take it for granted, It is a wonderful thing to be recognized for the hard work of our students.”
The honored schools will receive on-campus banners for their achievements.
