Senior Andrea Castellanos announced her commitment to Texas A&M on a full-ride soccer scholarship on Wednesday, Apr. 15, where she plans to study kinesiology.
After playing a year in Mexico’s top flight professional league, Castellano transferred to South Pas to prepare for collegiate soccer. She led the Tigers with eight goals, including a hattrick in a 5-2 rout over Schurr. Castellanos will join a Division I team that reached the second round of the NCAA tournament last year.
“It’s the perfect school for me and I am really grateful for this enormous blessing,” Castellanos said. “I am also really excited to join the team and help it to grow, giving my best everyday. I am looking forward to new experiences and new lessons that will help to grow and achieve further goals.”
