Girls golf loses to Gabrielino in tight match

The girls golf team fell short against Gabrielino, losing 205-203 on Thursday, Oct. 3. The Tigers have now won and lost three games each, sitting at an even .500 in the Rio Hondo League.

Star sophomore Lauren Calderon had a spectacular day, shooting for 33 and senior Victoria Tskvitichvili shot for 40 strokes. 

Sophomores Maya Turun and Audrey Biggar earned respective scores of 41 and 45. Junior Katherine Anthony tallied 47 strokes, while sophomore Cassy Huang ended the game with 48 strokes. 

“I feel that our team has its highs and lows, but we are all ready to do amazing for the rest of the season,” Turun said. 

The Tigers will face the La Cañada Spartans in their next match on Thursday, Oct. 10.
