Around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, following the conclusion of a home football game, an unidentified car crashed into the back bumper of a blue Honda that had been parked near the corner of Meridian Avenue and Bank Street.

The at-fault vehicle lost its bumper in the collision and sped away, leaving the accident site littered with pieces of the Honda’s tail light, which had been shattered in the collision. The back left wheel of the Honda was also knocked out of alignment.

Responding to the incident, the South Pasadena police arrived at the scene around 9:50 p.m. Around the same time, several pedestrians who had witnessed the accident claimed that the license plate of the at-fault car had been obtained. Police remained at the scene past 10:30 p.m.

According to South Pasadena Police Department crime reports, there have been four other hit and runs in the past two weeks.
