The girls’ varsity tennis team ended the season with a 14-4 loss against San Marino at home on Thursday, October 24. This last game left them with a 2-6 season record and a 5-9 overall record.

The Tigers faced a powerful San Marino squad and could not overtake them. The doubles teams struggled against the Titans, and the closest they came to a win was 2-6.

Senior Jessica Chang and sophomore Shannon Huang proved more successful in their matches, with each winning two of their three sets. Chang was victorious in her first game 6-1, fell in the next match 0-6, but came back to sweep her last opponent 6-0.

“I’m just really glad to have this experience playing with these wonderful people. I’m also very happy that I won two games in my last home game” Chang said.

The team will play in the Rio Hondo League individual tournament on Wednesday, October 26, but will not be moving on to CIF this year.
