The boys varsity wrestling team shone at another tournament on Saturday, Jan. 11, at San Fernando.
Junior Devin Peries (160 lb) placed first, senior Alex Garza (145 lb) placed second, and Abdel Alkhatib (145 lb) placed fifth in their respective weight categories.
“Overall we performed really well at this tournament especially for a three-man varsity lineup,” Peries said. “Every week is an improvement for us. These tournaments help us become aware of the things we need to work on so we can drill and capitalize on our mistakes to prepare us for CIF.”
The Tigers will prepare for their next league duel on Thursday, Jan. 16 at Monrovia.
