South Pasadena boy’s water polo closed out their season with a 14-2 defeat on Friday, November 7, against Mira Costa. This loss drops the team’s overall record to eight wins and 17 losses.

Mira Costa High School is currently ranked number one in their league with 22 wins and just six setbacks.

South Pasadena got their only two goals in the second quarter, with sophomore Nic Madrigal hitting the back of the net, and junior Christopher Chan lofting one into the goal.

The Tigers feared this season would be short on victories, and their record proves this year was a tough transition for the young team.

Although this is the end of the road for seniors Will Renken, Ryan Rodriguez, and Court Blake, the sophomore-heavy squad will use this season as a springboard for a stronger performance next year.
