Two South Pasadena High School students who allegedly planned a mass school shooting now face additional charges. The 16 and 17-year-old students were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

Both of the accused students denied the new charges Monday in Pasadena Juvenile Court. The students were previously charged with making a criminal threat against another teenager. Both students remain in police custody.

The two students will next appear in court on September 23 for a pretrial conference. The trial for the students is scheduled to begin on September 25th.
