Boys’ water polo was defeated by the Temple City Rams 11-7 on Thursday, October 6 on the road.  The loss was South Pas’ third of the season, and it dropped their record to 0-2 in league. The Tigers were unable to move the ball in the second half and were hurt severely by fouls. Additionally, the Rams were able to capitalize on their oversized goal, which Senior Robert Decker was forced to guard.

Seniors Leo Sonner and Spencer Gurley led the team with two scores each, and were followed by Seniors Cameron Benitez, Dj Myer, and Kinan Rodriguez, who each scored once.  The Tigers went to half tied 3-3 with the Rams, however were outscored 8-3 in the second half.  The Tigers seemed healthy early in the game, but were mentally unable to keep up with the Rams in the high pressure situations.

Further coverage will be released in Tiger Newspaper’s October issue.
