SkillsUSA competes in first half of regional conference

The South Pasadena High School SkillsUSA team headed to Los Angeles Trade Tech College on Saturday, January 23, to compete in its first competition of the year. The team left the Regional Leadership Skills Competition with two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals from their respective categories.

“Overall it was a great experience and I can’t wait to hear back to see if we go to state,” senior Noelani Morin said. New to SkillsUSA, she competed in the CSI category under the direction of Ms. Budd.

Some results are yet to be released (including Photography, Page Layout, and CSI groups). The competitions will continue on Saturday, January 30 when more teams will be facing off in hopes of heading to the state competition.
