The Raymond Hill Mortuary Haunted House opened for its second consecutive year on Saturday, October 18. For the past two years, Evil Twin Studios has been operating this growing Halloween attraction in South Pasadena. The Fremont Centre Theater transforms into a popular haunted house that features long corridors, concealed mortuary beds, and fog-filled graveyards.

Scare actors hide in elaborate costumes and full face makeup, ready to frighten guests both in line and in the mortuary. Realistic props add to the fearsome atmosphere, with limbs hanging from the morgue’s ceiling and tombstones littering the graveyard.

Guests enter the theater and are immediately faced with the ‘murder’ of an angry widow. They then spend the rest of the spook house running from a psychotic mortician determined to kill all witnesses.
The event will donate its profits to the South Pasadena Educational Foundation. Tickets cost $13 online, and $15 at the door until 10:30 p.m. Saturday, November 1 will be the mortuary’s final day of operation from 7:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m. It will also be open on Halloween night for any thrill-seeking trick-or-treaters.
