It was probably inevitable that these two very accomplished actors (Jackson and Downey jr) would steal the scene somewhat.

I thought the Hulk had a very favourable showing which should bode well for a possible further Hulk movie.

The movies strengths were the action packed scenes and the interaction between the individual members of the Avengers. I enjoyed the interaction and the fight scene between the Hulk and Thor.

Probably the big 4 (Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and Captain America) got more favourable attention than the little 2 (Hawkeye and Black Widow).

All in all - it's massive success was not really that much of a surprise to me.

As an Aussie sci-fi writer: http://www.amazon.com/David-Scholes/e/B002D657LQ
I’ve written a solid collection of Marvel (espec Thor) fan fiction, why not check it out? http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1276881/David_Scholes

Captain America is second on my list of the pre-Avengers film behind Iron Man, and ahead of Thor, Iron Man 2, and Hulk in that order. Nice review did you happen to see The Avengers??

Not having read the book, this was perhaps one of the most confusing movies my husband and I have ever seen. We I watched most of it before eventually giving up on trying to make sense of it and walking out. Aside from being confusing, this movie was also tedious and slow.

A lot has changed since I attended SP Jr Hi. I remember the fading Millard Sheets murals on the north outside walls of the auditorium. I remember performing on the auditorium stage.

When Richard Nixon first ran for Congress. Jerry Voorhees was the incumbent. Both appeared on that Jr Hi stage in a town meeting which I attended. At the time, there were not a lot of Democrats in South Pas. Today, there are a lot more proportionately.

We in the audience did not realize that Nixon pulled one of his first dirty tricks on that stage.

There was a row of political folks seated on the stage. We heard from the lesser ones first. Every so often someone would dash ostage and hand a telegram to the chairperson. The messages were basically similar. Nixon apolgized that he was delayed at another meeting at an American Legion in Monterey Park, I think it was, but he would be in South Pasadena as soon as he could.

Well, when it was Nixon's turn to speak, he was "not there yet", so Voorhees was put off balance by being the first of the two to speak. Meanwhile Nixon was backstage by this time, this being corroborated by all the points Nixon made when he officially appeared onstage after Voorhees' remarks.

And little did we know then, that one day he would be our Nation's President. Or that there would be a burglary in D.C. that would end his Presidency ahead of schedule.
