Three passengers hijack Lyft driver’s car at gunpoint in South Pasadena

While stopped in South Pasadena early this morning, three passengers hijacked a Lyft driver’s vehicle, threatening the victim at gunpoint.

According to a South Pasadena Police Department press release, the carjacking occurred at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 25. The statement says that the driver picked up three males in Los Angeles before stopping at two unknown locations, at the request of one of the suspects. At the 1800 Block of State Street in South Pasadena, one of the suspects forced the driver to surrender his vehicle by pointing a handgun at the driver; another suspect was witnessed to have brandished a revolver. The perpetrators then fled westbound on State Street.
