The girls’ varsity tennis team played their last match of the season on Wednesday, losing to the San Clemente Tritons by a score of 13-5. Although their CIF experience lasted only one match, the girls were grateful to have played it.

“It was an invaluable experience,” senior Jennifer Wu said. “Everyone got to play their best against a well trained team, and we were extremely satisfied about being able to compete at CIF.”

Despite a season-ending loss in CIF, the girls have nothing to regret. Their past season has been one of the best in school history. They finished second in the Rio Hondo League, and qualified for CIF for the first time in four years.

The girls also have a bright future ahead of them. Their team is loaded with young talent, and the next few seasons are likely to be just as successful as this one was.
