Girls soccer split two games at the Hart Soccer Showcase on Thursday, Dec. 26. South Pas defeated Filmore, 1-0, but fell to Hart, 4-0. The Tigers were scheduled to play Friday, but forfeited due to a lack of players.
Senior star Andrea Castellanos, who leads the team with five goals, netted the lone tournament score for South Pas against Filmore.
The Tigers fell behind early against the host team, conceding three goals in the first 40 minutes, and could never recover.
“Our defense did an incredible job getting the ball out of our half, and the midfield [did a good job] coming to support.,” junior keeper Kate Buckley said. “We played well, but improvements can still be made.”
The Tigers carry a 5-4-2 record into their next preseason match-up on the road against Glendora on Friday, Jan. 3.
