Girls golf picks up free win as La Cañada forfeits

The girls golf team captured its second league win this season on Thursday, Sept. 19 after La Cañada forfeited with only two available players. 

The Tigers still played the course for extra practice. Star sophomore Lauren Calderon had a stellar performance, shooting for 39 strokes. Senior Victoria Tskvitichvili tallied close behind, earning a score of 42. Sophomore Maya Turun and junior Katherine Anthony completed the course with 47 and 48 strokes, respectively. Playing for the first time this season, senior Tiffany Mai shot 58 strokes and freshman Aerin Kim wrapped up the day with 68 strokes. 

The Tigers will face the Alhambra Moors in their third league game Tuesday, Sept. 24.
